Thomas and Eric
Thomas trumps out of the battle with Eric in his arms, and then travels through shadow and seeks a safe, fast-time place for Eric to recover. Once there, he will get the chains off of him and remove any roses Benedict may have planted on him. Thomas tends to him with the utmost care.
When he begins to wake, Thomas will be at his side. "Father? We've escaped. We're free now."

Don't worry, I didn't read anything except the keeping the thread private part. Umm... it didn't work.

No rose on Eric... He's not even really wounded, just bumped around a bit.
"What happened? Where's Benedict? Did the girl get him?". You can see the intensity in his eyes; he needs to know that Benedict is dead.

"No... he's not dead." Thomas states, wishing it wasn't true. "Aife hurt him, he didn't look well before Gizette grabbed him. That blade she had..." he trails off. "We have some time. Not much, but we have some time."
Thomas shows Eric the Jewel of Judgment, still clutched in his hand. "I was able to get this for you, father."
