Talking to Me / Viewing changes

So, I'm trying to manage all my game contact through this wiki system. If you want to ask me a question, but don't want the others to see, simply post it on your character's wiki node. If you don't care about others seeing or think it might be useful to others, post it in General Discussion.

I will periodically check the WebChanges node (also available in the sidebar) to see what has changed recently and look over the changes to see if I need to respond. This is also a good node for you to check to see whats getting updated.

If you want to make new nodes that are only visible to certain people, just grab the ALLOWTOPICVIEW line from you character page and past it in your new node. The value for that setting is a comma separated list of user names like BenBernard or MikeHewner (i.e. : " * ALLOWTOPICVIEW = BenBernard, MikeHewner"). You don't actually have to put me in, since I'm an admin and can see all nodes. If you want to read something really complicated and hard to understand, you can figure out the access control system at TWikiAccessControl. You must have 3 spaces, an asterisk, a space, then ALLOWTOPICVIEW = and then the list of logins... It must be the only thing on the line (but doesn't have to be the first line). To test the permissions, you can log out and log back in as Test2User2 with password foo. That person doesn't have write access, and you should get a permission error trying to view a protected node like your character node...

Oh BTW, don't remove that ALLOWTOPICVIEW line from your character pages, unless you want everyone to see your character
