It's the darkest of winter, and the coldest of cold. What's the cure?? The promise of awesome gaming, of course! And YOU are invited!
Save the date, then come and play!
Saturday July 17, 2010 will usher in the first ever Roles & Rolls Game Day in Seattle; a full day and night filled with as much gaming and socializing as we can cram in!
Here's the schedule:
Saturday, July 17th:
11AM - Noon: Registration
Noon - 6PM: Slot 1
6PM - 8PM: Plan Your Own Dinner Adventure
8PM - Midnight: Slot 2 / Happy Hour
Sunday morning-ish, July 18th:
Our bi-monthly
BrunchQuest for those who are inclined.
One of the things we've heard (and agree with!) is that people in the area (and farther afield) wish they had more time to socialize with gamer friends they see so rarely. That's why Slot 2 has a happy hour, so you can game OR socialize ... or BOTH! This BOYB event will, if weather permits, be outside under the warm summer skies, and there is a promise of fire pits, noshes and excellent company. Or if you can't get enough gaming, Slot 2 is there for your gaming pleasure.
At this point the organizers (Chris and Leslie Lightfoot, Andi Blija and myself) are looking for a show of hands signaling:
__ "I might be able to come."
"Hell yeah, I'll be there!"
__ I will GM Slot 1
__ I will GM both slots.
__ I will play in Slot 1 and socialize during Happy Hour.
__ I will play in both slots (then join Happy Hour when the gaming is done!)
I am able and willing to host out of town gamers.
I have room for
___ people.
__ I have pets, and/or my house is non-smoking only. (Tell me about it)
______________________
__ I have no restrictions.
__ I am one of the out of town gamers who would love a place to crash.
This is enough to get us organizers started. More info and planning to come as winter turns to spring. If you have any questions, please drop me a line, as I'm your contact for all things Roles & Rolls.
Here's wishing you a happy New Year, and to see you in July!
